New Balance
New Balance is an American brand born in 1906 and based in Boston, Massachusetts. It was founded by William J. Riley, an English immigrant who began producing arch supports and accessories to improve the fit of shoes; in 1961 the brand gained popularity with the birth of the "Trackster", the first sports shoe with a grooved sole, made by Eleanor Hall and her husband Paul Kidd. But the real revolution took place in 1972, when Jim Davis brought the brand to the Boston Marathon; from that moment on, the company grew exponentially until it became a world giant.
